Joseph La Delfa is a design researcher with a background in industrial design. His research explores how our relationships with machines form, change and evolve. Paying close attention to what one senses and how one acts is a central tenant to his design process and analysis.
One practical outcome of his research has been the design of small drones that can be directly manipulated by different parts of the body. This is done by making the drone respond to small changes in movement, breath and balance. Through this work he aims to investigate ways in which we come to appreciate how we move our bodies in our everyday lives.
