Riyaz is a Ph.D. student at DSV. He is an HCI design researcher interested in probing the intelligent algorithmic authorities behind conventional and emerging interfaces. He intends to explore and design for the effects and implications of intelligent algorithmic authorities on socially asymmetric and pluralist societies, specifically during socio-economic encounters. Before joining DSV, he was a faculty member at Srishti Institute of Art Design and Technology, Bengaluru. He has also worked with the IT industry in India for five+ years as a designer, consultant, and researcher. Riyaz has a master’s degree in Interaction Design from Industrial Design Centre, IIT Bombay. He is also a graduate of Computer Science from Pune University.
